RECEIVING DOESN'T JUST HAPPEN
Things do not just happen.Receiving from the Lord doesn't just happen. Just because you confessed Jesus as Lord and believed in your heart that God raised Him from the dead doesn't automatically bring you victory. It does assure you of a place in heaven, but you have to learn how to live like a kings kid. You have to learn your rights and privileges as a citzen of the kingdom. In other words you are not going to live as a profitable citizen of a kingdom, ( any kingdom ) until you learn the ways of the kingdom.
Concerning the born again believer the Bible says, " He has delivered us from the authority of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love." Col.1:13. In other words we have been delivered from the kingdom of darkness and placed into the kingdom of light. The kingdom of light has its own laws that govern it. We no longer operate under the laws of the flesh, but under the laws of the Spirit of life. There is a new way of doing things. Paul encouragers us in the book of Romans chapter 12 verse 2, Amplified translation, " Do not be conformed to this world ( this age ), [ fashioned after and adapted to it's external, superficial customs], but be transformed ( changed ) by the [ entire ] renewal of your mind [ by its new ideals and its new attitude ] so that you may prove [ for yourselves ] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [ in His sight for you ].
You have your mind renewed so that you think on the things of the Lord, not on things of this world. With a renewed mind you see things in a different light. You never see anything that is impossible. You remember that according to the Word, God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that you can ask or think. With a renewed mind you begin to talk like God talks. You call things that aren't as though they are. You begin to see yourself healed and not sick. You begin to believe that prosperity is the will of God, no matter what your most spiritual friends say. All this takes a renewed mind. The person that renews his mind by the Word of God no longer sees himself as barely getting by. His confidence is in the Lord and His exceedingly great and precious promises.
When you learn to operate in kingdom principles which first of all is obedience to the Lord, these things will come upon you and overtake you. You will be above and not beneath; You will be the head and not the tail;
You will be made prosperous and walk in victory because you have the favor of God.
When you choose to disobey God and walk in the ways of the world, these things will come upon you and overtake you. You will be cursed going in and cursed going out. You will suffer mental and physcial sickness.Povety will be knocking on your door. You will have a defeatist attitude. You may have plenty but you will worry about lost. This is evidence of an unrewed mind. Of a person who doesn't know or understand kingdom laws.
I want to take this time to encourage you to get under teaching that will teach you how to live as a kingdom child. May the Lord bless you until next time.
