MORE ABOUT HEALING
I am going to jot down some thoughts about healing as I see it. I have never been afraid to swim against the tide when I believe I am right.I do not teach according to traditions, I teach according to the Word of God. For those who know me, do not judge whether something is true or not by determining if it is operating in my life right now or not. For example, if a heathern quotes John 3:16 doesn't make it not so.
Determine what I say by what the Bible says. Also do not put your righteousness up against the Lord's righteousness. For instance, if something is not happening in your life and God's Word says it should be, then the problem is not on God's end. There is a blessing blocker somewhere. Nine times out of ten it is because of disobedience somewhere. If it's not because of disobedience then chances are it is some tradition that you are holding on to. Matthew 15:6b says that the Word of God is made of none effect by your traditions. If it's not either one of those two, then you are probably sitting in judgment on somebody. Let me tell you something. When you were born again you gave up your right to have an opinion. Your job is to find out what God's opinion is about a certain situation and go with God's opinion. You can rest assured that God is going to approach every situation in love. We should never gloat over the possibility of one going to hell. Our job is to try to rescue those who may be on their way to hell. Do not try to understand the things of God with your natural mind, you can't. It seems that man is more interested in sending people to hell than God is.
I said all that to say this. Disobedience, traditions,judgmentalism and pride will keep you from walking in the things of God. Especially healing. The devil knows if he can keep you sick he can interfere in whatever you were going to do for God. Let me add this. If what you are doing isn't working then change something. Do not let the devil keep lying to you; do not let pride keep you in bondage and afraid of change because of how you may look to others. Others are not walking in your shoes.
Now concerning divine healing. Healing is the will of God...Jesus is the healer, but the presence of God is the key...Demons and illnesses are connected...demons tremble at the name of Jesus...The same virtue that flows out from Jesus also flows out from His word...You cannot separate God and His word...JOHN 1:1 " In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." Whatever the Word says, that is the way it is.
If healing is the will of God why aren't you healed? Look at I JOHN 5:14-15.
" Now this is the confidence we have in Him, if we ask anything according to His will He hears us. And if we know that He hears us then we know that we have the partition that we desired of Him." If there is any one thing that you can point to without difficulty in the scripture is God's willingness to heal. Now if you will notice He didn't just go around healing people. He healed only those who came to Him in faith desiring to be healed.
The key word is faith. There is something that looks a lot like faith, that talks like faith, that acts like faith but it is not faith. You find out that it's not faith when you have to take a faith stand. It won't work. It is something called mental assent. (example) Yes I know the Word says that but-t-t. Or. I know the Word says that but what if. Or. I know the Word says that but that's not the way it happened for me. You see, mental assent can never make a faith confession and stand on it. Faith is standing on the Word and confessing it as done, even though there is no evidence that it's even about to happen. I know that it's not easy. If it was the whole world would do it. But many times that is what you have to do in order to receive your healing. I have led several people through to healing, I know that it works.
Just to ask God to heal you will not get the job done, unless you ask in faith nothing wavering. If you ask in faith, believing that it is happening for you now, you will receive or God's Word can't be trusted.(Please read Hebrews 11:6)
"But without faith it is impossible to please God, for he that cometh to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him."
You must understand that your body will talk to you. It will tell you that you are sick. God's Word says that by His stripes you are healed. Faith agrees with God's Word and declares that it is so. Mental assent will agree with your body.
Now I know that this is not going to set right for some people. You must have an understanding of who you are. You are the one that Jesus went to the cross for. On that cross God laid upon Him our sin, our povety and our sickness. Because of this we are set free from these things but you must choose to walk in them. Remember he said I set before you life and death, blessing and cursing, choose life.He gave us His armor; He gave us His Word; He gave us His name and then He filled us with Himself and told us we had authority over all the works of the enemy. What more could He do. Now it is up to you. What are you going to do with what He has given you. You have 3 decisions to make. Are you going to go on living in sin; Are you going to go on being sick; Are you going to go on living in poverty. The choice is yours. While you are in the act of making the decision remember Ephesians 3:20. " God is able to do exceeding abundantly above all we can ask or think or dream."
