WORDS HAVE POWER
I want to talk about the words that we speak daily, that is effecting our lives. There is no such thing as non- effective words. It would do you good to ponder the following scriptures. Get your Bible and high light them.
MATTHEW 12:33-37, " Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or else make
the tree bad and its fruit bad; for a tree is known by its fruit. " Brood of
vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of
the heart the mouth speaks. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart
brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth
evil things But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will
give and account of it in the day of judgement. For by your words you will be
justified and by your words you will be condemned." Verses 36&37 from the Amplified Bible puts it like this. " But I tell you, on the day of judgement men will have to give an account for every idle ( inoperative, non-working ) word they speak. For by your words you will be justified and acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned and sentenced.
According to Hebrews 3:1 Jesus is the High Priest of our confession. In other words when we say the right things, things that agree with His word, then He is there to see that they come to pass. Inoperative, non- working words are words that we speak that He cannot support. Listen at what else the scripture says about our words.
PROVERBS 18: 20-21, " A man's stomach shall be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth, from the produce of his lips he shall be filled. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.'
I am telling you folks, your life is guided by your words. Your words are what you believe. The scripture says, " as a man believes, in his heart so is he.'
From the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. In order to change the direction of your life, if you want a change, you have to change what you have been saying. Instead of saying what you have, say what you want. Say about yourself what God says about you. When your words agree with the Word of God then they are considered working words. Words that Jesus can be high priest over. Words that He can bring to pass in your life. When you speak words that He cannot support guess who steps in and helps bring to pass the negative that you are speaking. And that goes for anything. There is no such thing as neutral words in the spirit. They all have meaning.
Write this down. Words is the media that we use to express our faith or fear. If you will listen at the things you say continually, you will find out what is rooted in your heart. Jesus says from the abundance of your heart your mouth will speak. Also understand this. If you do not have the Word of the Lord in your heart abundantly then you do not have a renewed mind. If you do not have a renewed mind, then the things of this world will continue
to dominate your thoughts and actions. Just to speak faith when-ever you think about it will not make you a winner, it must become a way of life.
I can speak to two instances that I know of this occuring. Please bear with me.
When I was Pastoring in Kennewick, Wa. my Associate Pastor's wife was diagnosed with an incurable disease.
She looked the doctor straight in the eye and said, " doctor that is a lie from the pit of hell." You see all she had heard from me the preceding months was faith, healing and spiritual warfare. That was what was in her heart in abundance and that was what came out her mouth. The doctor got a second opinion. Sure enough that was what showed up in her examination. She stood her ground and we stood with her. As a matter of fact she was angry about it. To make a long story short when she went back there was no evidence that she had ever had the disease and the doctor wrote on her chart that she had received a miracle.
When I was pastoring in Jackson, Ms. my worship leader's wife gave birth to a baby boy. The doctor told her that the baby was deaf and would never hear. She told the doctor that she did not receive his report and that her baby was healed and could hear as good as anybody. He told her she was in denial. She said yes, she denied the evil report. Five other doctors diagnosed her baby deaf. Lesly stood her ground. The child is 13 years old today and can hear as good as anybody. The whole time that Lesly was pregnant she heard me preach on nothing but faith, healing and spiritual warfare. I am not saying it was because I preached it, but somebody had to preach it in order for her to hear. In bith cases their hearts was full of the Word of God. Its got to be in there to come out. From the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. It has to become a way of life.
Well that's the end of this blog. Remember Eph: 3:20, " God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all you can ask or think according to the power that works in you."
