Things You Should Know (wise thoughts)

Never allow anyone to speak things to you that will effect your opinion of others. You as a believer should be operating with the mind of Christ. The idea that you would listen intently to someone seeking to discredit someone else is repulsive to God.

What is it about ll Timothy 3:16 do you not understand: (All scripture is given by insperation of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.) I know! It is the "ALL" we have a broblem with. We would like to choose the scripture we think should be inspired. That way we can excuse some of the things we do or our children do and confess that we or they love God. But the scripture is plain in John 14:23 that if you love God you will keep His words. If you do not believe that ALL scripture is inspired then why believe any scripture is inspired.

When-ever you determine that you do not like a person for whatever reason, you have judged that person as unworthy and unacceptable to associate with. How, may I ask, can you justify yourself to the Lord?

What you do and what you think when you are by yourself is who you really are.

Remember the song says, "though none go with me, still I will follow." That includes husband, wife, children, brother and sister.

Mark 10:29-30, And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, there is no man that hath left house, or brethern, or sister, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's, But he shall receive a hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethern, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with presecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.

To say I love Jesus with all my heart is to say that I would be willing to do all of the above. Most people tell God that they are willing but they have their fingers crossed behind their back when they say it.

Wise Sayings

All circumstances are opportunities to either trust God or thank God.

Words are nothing more than words until action is taken to prove them genuine.

To say you believe in God puts you on par with the devil for he also believes. It is what you do with your belief that makes the difference.

People are so use to pretenders and pretending themselves they do not know or understand how to deal with those who are operating in absolute truth.

We all have to come to terms with this question. Does our love for God exceed the desire for man's approval.

Everything that we receive from God depends on faith and obedience. God has a definite plan for every person but it is their responsibility to walk in it. If you fail to do your part, the Lord cannot finish His part.
